Last year, when the newspaper article appeared about Trudeau groping Rose Knight, my attention was heightened. The #MeToo movement was causing some men to pay for these behaviours with their careers, even if they occurred in the distant past. While other MPs (like MP Kent Hehr) stepped down from positions, Trudeau saw no need to accept equal treatment for himself. Trudeau was held to a separate standard.

When the Prime Minister dropped the writ a few days early last week, it was an act of desperation. When he avoided the first televised so-called Leaders’ Debate (yes, the one to which the leaders of most federal parties were not invited) it was an act of cowardice. When he spent the last several weeks throwing your money around, it was an act of shameless vote-buying. His time is up and he knows it. Whether Canadian voters know it yet remains to be seen.

We are blessed to live in a great country! A grateful newcomer to Canada, so humbled by this reality, was puzzled by the CHP’s perception of our impending crises.

In the 2018 trade negotiations between the US, Canada and Mexico, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chrystia Freeland, traded the interests of Canada’s dairy farmers and the consumers who need their products for some questionable language emphasizing gender issues. As leader of the Christian Heritage Party of Canada, I want Canadians to know that we stand behind our dairy producers.

​In Canada’s 2019 federal election, the deck is already stacked against the electorate! In what bizarre universe does the government get to say who can and who cannot debate with the government? Especially in an election year?

​Just last week, Mario Dion, Canada’s Parliamentary Ethics Commissioner, issued a report with damning conclusions regarding PM Trudeau’s violation of Ethics Rules. This is his second ethics conviction.

Pornography, legalized prostitution, and sex-trafficking — what do they have in common? Your local candidates for election (with a few exceptions) won’t want to talk about the connections between them.

In today’s culture wars, each side has goals. There are societal implications for every circumstance. It matters what is allowed, what is promoted, what is restricted and what is forbidden. When certain behaviours and outcomes are desired, proponents suggest conditions that will favour those outcomes.

​As I write this, police, armed forces, dogs, aircraft, ground vehicles and tech tools are all at work seeking to find two suspected murderers rumoured to be hiding out in northern Manitoba.

Was anyone else part of the craze in the late 1960s that was called “Monkee Mania”? I was a fan from day one right through to the bitter end. Perhaps one of my favourite songs was “Shades of Gray”

As everyone knows, the campaign is on! The writ has not yet been dropped but federal parties are already in campaign mode. According to a recent article on CTV, both the Liberals and the Conservatives have been spending lots of money in the run-up to the campaign and plan to spend even more in the days ahead.

​When you think of a banned movie, you are probably thinking of something so vile or indecent that it cannot be shown. There are many movies with gross indecency, wanton violence, and subversive morality in Canadian theatres. What would it take to get a movie banned in Canada? Abortion!
