Stewardship
Since a nation cannot borrow itself out of debt, a CHP government would not spend without imposing taxes, and would not place future generations in bondage by deficit financing and public outlays designed to provide temporary and short-lived benefits based on political expediency. A CHP government would practice sound fiscal management at all times.
- Government must preserve general conditions conducive to the maintenance and growth of national prosperity.
- A CHP government would provide a sound system of currency. This would not include coerced digital ID or Central Bank Digital Currency, which is a step to violating sovereignty over our own currency.
- A CHP government would protect accurate weights and measures; and prohibit fraud, theft, violence, and collusion.
- A CHP government would promote the use of economic resources in a stewardly fashion to meet the needs of all, including the “deserving poor.”
Our CHP Stewardship Policies are designed to ensure that each generation’s stewardship of our economy protects the interests of both the current and future generations. This is important for the ongoing financial wellbeing of our country and citizens into the future.
Bank of Canada
- Canada currently borrows operating and investment capital from other nations and from international bankers; we are now paying out about $125 million every day in interest on the federal debt. This must stop.
- The CHP would restore the Bank of Canada to its proper function. It would be made responsible to create Canada’s money supply and to maintain its value.
