Porn as Science… What’s Next?

“Should a sex exhibit be pulled from Ottawa's science museum?” asks the CBC in this online article and poll.
Imagine, 30 years ago the result of introducing our teens to pornography during a visit to the “science museum.” Canadian parents would have been outraged that such a thing is offered as “morally nutritious fare” for our teenagers.
But this isn’t 30 years ago and the fact that a poll like this has the “no” side winning marginally over the “yes” side, in the question as to whether it should be cancelled, says a lot about where we are today.
Thankfully, the CBC question is being asked because some Canadians said “No,” and contacted the Canadian Heritage Minister, James Moore, and the museum’s acting director, Luc Fournier.
According to Patrick Meagher, who attended a preview of this exhibition and then alerted Canadians as to what was being offered to those over 12 years old:
The Canada Science and Technology Museum in Ottawa calls itself a museum for all ages and has introduced an exhibition that approves of anal sex, multiple partners, masturbation, pornography, condom use, abortion, and glorifies homosexual sex. The exhibition uses *crude* words and invites visitors to come up with their own names for penis and vagina.
The exhibit was shown in Montreal and Saskatchewan to anyone over 12, and younger if accompanied by an adult. But after Patrick Meagher “blew the whistle” the age limit at the Ottawa museum was raised to 16; younger viewers were still allowed if accompanied by an adult. (A CBC report said, “Accompanied by a parent,” but it’s not clear which limitation is being enforced. If it’s just any adult, you may be sure pedophiles will happily use the display to “groom” targets; and there are activist teachers who think they know better than parents what students should be exposed to.)
It’s time we say “No,” and demand that all Members of Parliament state their opinion on this. Let’s tell the Conservative majority in Parliament that we’ve had enough. We shouldn’t have to wait until someone gets included on a “preview list” to find out about this kind of moral filth offered to our youth. It should never be offered to our youth! Andrea Mrozek of the Institute of Marriage and Family Canada, after seeing the exhibit, told CBC that it contains some science, some facts—and opinion masquerading as “facts.” That’s not education; it’s indoctrination.
What can you do?
Contact MP James Moore at min.moore@pch.gc.ca and let him know that we don’t accept the Conservative Party’s standard for morality. We want to teach our young people morals that improve this country. We don’t want to start them on pornography as teens and have it explode with the already-well-documented negative results of viewing pornography.
Keep your eyes open for this exhibit springing up elsewhere and spread the word!
Treat these exhibits like the amusement park game called “Whack a Mole.” Whenever you hear about these exhibits popping up near you, “whack it” by notifying your mailing lists…including NationalOffice@chp.ca. We’ll notify you when threats like these are exposed.
For those already on our “Culture Warrior” list, we’ll send notice of online polls to you. If you’re not on our “Culture Warrior” list and you want to be made aware of online polls and the need for action, email NationalOffice@chp.ca and ask us to include you on our “Culture Warriors” notifications.
We can make a difference to this culture by saying “No” and ensuring our MPs, MPPs, and others are aware that we’re not going to take it anymore.
