​Boisterous and brash, America’s 45th President has been sworn in. He’s also been sworn at and there are those who seem sworn to his destruction.

​Our Prime Minister is engaging in a cross-country “town hall” tour; he is speaking to Canadians and answering their questions — I’m not being sarcastic, he really is spending most of the time at these public events answering questions.

As 2017 begins fresh and new, taxpayers of the future (some of them not yet even born) are being saddled with a crushing tax burden. It’s called taxation without representation because those future citizens will...

Our Queen and our Prime Minister have both mentioned in their New Year’s messages to us, on the eve of 2017, that this year we celebrate 150 years as a nation. This really is momentous!

At the junction of the old year and the new . . . as we flip our calendars from 2016 to 2017, it may be appropriate to reflect for a moment on these spoofy lyrics sung by Scouts around the campfire...

​We all know about the “wise men from the East” who followed the star in their search for the Christ Child. They were wise enough to seek Christ and also wise enough to outfox King Herod.

Was it just me or was anybody else totally turned off by our Prime Minister’s grandstanding over the anniversary of the École Polytechnique massacre? Don’t get me wrong; my heart goes out to the families of these ladies . . . as it does for the families of the almost seventy other “real people” killed in other tragic Canadian multiple murders.

​You probably got a small postcard in the mail this week from the Government of Canada with the headline “Have your say about our democracy”. It announces an online survey which can found at mydemocracy.ca Will this survey really give you a say?

​To put it mildly, it is disappointing to see the three largest Canadian federal parties are all committed to be progressive in their policies. But what do they mean by progressive?

Jordan Peterson is a professor at the University of Toronto. He has an odd connection to frogs. He jokes that some have even said that he sounds a little like Kermit the Frog. He owns a frog mask carved in the west-coast First Nations’ style.

When you’re trying to sell a product, you usually ensure the benefits are visible for the first while so people will anticipate and celebrate their purchase of your product, motivating others to make the purchase also…then reality sets in as manufacturing defects begin to become evident.

Justin Trudeau and his Liberal cabinet continue to ram and jam through their social agenda, leaving broken fragments of Canada’s cultural heritage and democratic traditions in its wake. C-16 is Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould’s sledgehammer approach to ending freedom of religion as we’ve known it and implementing the Liberal gender agenda in churches, schools, and other institutions.
