Last week, Vicki spoke of some of the Band-Aid solutions our government hides behind in lieu of having the courage to deal with the truth or the root of the issues. What we shared with you last week was an overview of a few pretty Band-Aids that cover untold problems and hurts. This week, let me try to show you the devastation that’s being covered up under just one: the “unwanted” Band-Aid.

Yes, there are in excess of 100,000 “unwanted” Band-Aid procedures every year in Canada.

The Morgentaler Clinic website says, “Every mother a willing mother. Every child a wanted child.” The beauty of such a statement could make you weep. All the while, what festers under the Band-Aid that our government has so happily applied is, "If you don’t want your baby, kill it. Tear it apart alive!” Over 100,000 Canadian women exercise their choice to kill their children every year but underneath that pretty Band-Aid 100,000 babies die.

One need only look at the truthful pictures that are so tragically shown by the Genocide Awareness Project to have seared into one’s mind what festers under the Band-Aid. One need only listen to the stories of the Silent No More parents to know that there are 100,000 mothers and fathers left suffering with guilt, depression, physical damage, and emotional pain as a result.

Can we talk about abortions without wondering about the 491 babies, born alive, whose mothers wanted them dead? As Prime Minister Harper frantically presses the edges of the Band-Aid to prevent it lifting, we smell the putrid stench that tells we have gone beyond killing those unborn to killing those already born… living, breathing people. But, the government response is that they don’t want to talk about abortion. Pre-born, barely born. What’s the difference?

As Vicki alluded to last week, the government, in using pretty Band-Aids, has absolutely no protection for those who are being hurt, the Band-Aid instead protects the government, and that is the one and only selfish reason they use it. They don’t have to deal with the powerful pro-abortion lobby. A small price to pay to avoid the controversy and endless wrangling of the financial interests involved. It’s a multi-million dollar business; so press the edges of that Band-Aid down! Don’t let anyone hear the silent screams.

Last year, I wrote that Canada was in the “same company” as China and North Korea as being the only countries in the world with absolutely no law against abortion at any stage of development. Now with Canada going so far as killing babies born alive, doesn’t that put us in a category of our own?
