Something very exciting and revolutionary is about to happen to the Christian Heritage Party of Canada.
Now, given all the work that has gone into this great party over the last twenty-five years, CHP Canada deserves to hear nothing less, and I’m excited as your leader to give you an overview of what is happening.
As you know, CHP Canada’s first twenty years established the firm foundation we have today, which is the policies and platforms that have been fine-tuned and tested through many federal elections. The first twenty years also proved our party’s ability to stay the course regardless of the hardships and also the very tempting yet perilous migration of so many Christians to what was once thought the political answer: the Reform Party. Yes, the CHP was shaken and weakened but, under the leadership of Ron Gray, it shook off the dust, got back on its feet, and proved that the CHP was here for the long haul. Thank God it did—the Reform Party did a metamorphosis, a reversal, a mutation, to say the least, so where would Canada be without the Christian Heritage Party today?
The last five years have been a time of strategic planning. In order to achieve our party’s aim of providing Christian leadership to federal legislation by way of electing members to parliament and forming the government of Canada, we required a strategy, and we now have that strategy completed.
In brief:
- Departments: A governing federal political party requires expertise that it can trust as reliable in all fields of government. Hence, the concept and framework for the development of CHP Departments was approved by the National Board in the winter of 2010. Once implemented it will draw on the expertise from within our party and from like-minded people outside our party.
- Provincial Presence: A serious federal political party requires having in place the mechanism for establishing provincial party counterparts. Hence, the CHP Provincial Wing Agreement and Letter of Understanding was developed and approved by the National Board in the spring of 2011.
- Communications Systems: An organization having the potential (and being of the mind) to grow to a level which will govern this nation must have building blocks in place for a state-of-the-art, operational central database and communications systems. Only in this way can we properly organize and utilize the mountains of data available to propel our party forward. Hence, in 2011, the National Board sought out professional expertise in this field and found a professional Christian technical team capable of building from the ground up a CHP Central Database and Communications network. Pending sufficient financing, the first building blocks will be constructed to accommodate our current needs and then will be built upon as our requirements dictate.
- Communications Strategy: CHP Canada has our nation’s best political solutions and yet so few Canadians know we exist. Thus, the National Board approved investing in a professional Christian Marketing Team to work alongside our CHP communications team. This team has been identified and the Marketing Navigator and Videographer have been selected and are currently working with us. They are equally excited about the prospect of seeing the Christian Heritage Party achieving its aims and are convinced this can be done.
Now, I come to the most exciting part of this Communiqué!
We all know that the only things that are required to implement this strategy are greater CHP membership, encouraged members, active members, and ample financing. So, the National Board was excited when it recently approved an innovative and revolutionary EDA sustainability plan. It will not only adequately equip our EDAs to recruit more members and provide sound financing; it will also reward those EDAs with on-the-ground paid CHP employees who will ensure the EDA’s continued growth. Escalated numbers in membership and financing closes the loop and makes this all possible.
This total and very achievable strategy has been called The Promise campaign, and I am very excited to tell you it is being launched this week! Look for it in your mail box and your emails.
Together we can make this happen! Please get ready to get involved with The Promise.
