Setting Our Sails for Tomorrow

The twenty-fifth anniversary celebrations of the Christian Heritage Party of Canada may have drawn to a close this weekend, but not before the hard work of honest and open debate on resolutions from our delegates, many great speeches, informative workshops, and the selection of officers set the sails for our party’s journey onward. Our destination, however distant it may appear, remains solidly intact, and it is to provide Christian leadership in federal legislation by electing members to parliament and forming the government of Canada. No man knows what tomorrow may bring, and the requirement for our principled policies and a quest for the honest and transparent government that CHP Canada can provide may be just over the horizon. Therefore, we must continue to build fervently today and remain focused on our destination. We will continue to tear down every denominational wall within our party and have the common interests of all our great Christian faiths be the force and wisdom needed to grow our party infrastructure, membership, and allies. Our move onward and upward need not and will not be pragmatic but will be based solely on principled core values established as our party’s foundation twenty-five years ago. Values that our nation today is in desperate need of. We will see to it that the marketing of our party’s message to Canadians is done with a renewed excellence, and the coordination of our internal and external communications incorporate the latest technologies. We will not shy away from naming, facing, and resolving our challenges, regardless of the size they may appear; we’ll move forward with one mission alone and, most importantly, recognize, appreciate, and call upon the Creator of this awesome universe to guide and protect our every effort.
