Day of Decision

“[Planned Parenthood] and the President better knock us out right now, because Cecile, I can promise you—here comes the Catholic Church...you’ve awakened a sleeping giant.” Yes, Father John Hollowell has sent a stunning and crystal clear message to Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards and President Obama that they had better “knock the Catholic Church out now.” Father John’s proclamation points out that Catholic youth are no longer content with the lies that Planned Parenthood puts out and that their church has awoken to fight these lies. The soul of a country is worth fighting for! Father John said that the Catholic Church will expose the lies of Planned Parenthood and see truth prevail. He said, “We have no doubt” that in the future, Planned Parenthood will be seen in the same light as the “slave traders, the Nazis, the Communists, and all those groups that seek to oppress people.” In the last round, Father John said to Planned Parenthood that, “Our convents and seminaries are exploding at the seams with young people…who are hungry for authentic teaching and truth and are no longer content to be fed by your lies!...you are a sworn enemy of the Catholic Church! The gloves are off and we are stepping into the spotlight.” Father John then said, quoting Mohamed Ali, “we are going to get it on because we don’t get along…we are ready to do battle with one another!... Priests and bishops that have, in the past, been content to remain quiet are no longer so.... Here comes the Catholic Church.” Well, I say, “Bravo Zulu,” to Father John and, “Wow!”  His powerful talk ends quoting Tolkien: “The board is set, the pieces are now in motion, at last we come to it—the great battle of our age.” This is truly a call to action of significant proportion and one that should—could—no, rather, must be a catalyst to awaken every other sleeping giant. Too many churches have left the abortion issue alone because they find it too “political” and it ruffles the feathers of their congregants. Well, clergy! Well, parishioners! Isn’t it time to get “tough” with the congregation? Children are dying and it’s not only because Planned Parenthood has been lying; withholding the truth has the same devastating effect and, allow me to add, the same judgement. The Catholic Church is waking up to face the enemy head on and, for maximum impact, they must call on their allies to also wake up and fight alongside them. Their choice of weapons will be critical. Yes, this issue is political; it’s also moral; it’s big; and it is absolutely winnable! You see, Canadians still have the benefit of a solid, bona fide, prolife, federal political party equipped and willing to be the battleship in a solidarity movement for this vital common cause! If this is the great battle of our age, and I truly hope it is, the Christian Heritage Party of Canada has been preparing for twenty-five years for such a time as this. The founding members of CHP Canada came from both the Roman Catholic and Protestant denominations and in the spirit of Christian principles they developed a political party to be used as a force, to fight united for a common cause. Just think! The Roman Catholic Church (with its many powerful organizations) encouraging membership in Canada’s only federal prolife political party—the only party that will fight for the lives of Canada’s weakest citizens. Such a move would be regarded not only as a major offensive attack against the entrenched pro-abort culture of death, but it would also put the fear of God into almost every seated parliamentarian. Then, to put out the challenge to every other church in our nation to do likewise…God willing, we would see Christians rise up in unity to defend innocent life. We, at CHP Canada, are heartened by the awakening of a Church. Although the giants of government, the courts, the media, and government-funded poor-choice groups, are arrayed against godly prolifers, a prolife Church, and a prolife political party, we trust that truth and righteousness will yet prevail. As another giant-slayer once declared, “Is there not a cause?” Yes, churches awaken their congregants to greater love for humanity, but a principled political party is the only tool for those awakened people to use to impact Canada’s political apathy.
