A warrior is a person experienced and capable of engaging in combat or warfare. A warrior is a person who shows great vigor and courage, in battle, politics or athletics. Essential to a warrior's victory however, is that the warrior is part of a larger team.

In a tug-of-war, team members are not all able to pull with the same force, but all team members pull in the same direction. In a tug-of-war the number on each team is restricted; in real warfare the number is unlimited, yet the direction is unified.

I had the privilege, near the end of my twenty-five-year military service, to be a part of an elite team known as "Sea Training." Our team consisted of a specialist representing each discipline found on board our Canadian destroyers. Our task was to monitor and test each crew's battle readiness under the most adverse of conditions. Regardless of individual efforts to save the ship, a mandatory prerequisite to pass 'battle readiness' was that the ship's crew fight as a TEAM! Teamwork was and remains that important!

Today, in Canada, our culture is under attack; you and I both know it. Yes, we are encouraged by a few outstanding individual efforts, but many people I speak to expect to lose, rather than gain ground in the battles. Mandatory is the teamwork that you and I both know is missing! The good news is that any person capable of using the internet is armed with a virtual weapon. We are all very capable potential team warriors in today's war to preserve our culture.
