Progressive Confusion

To put it mildly, it is disappointing to see the three largest Canadian federal parties are all committed to be progressive in their policies. But what do they mean by progressive? Policy by policy, it is becoming increasingly clear that the progression they refer to is in directing public policy further down the wide road of destruction and off of the narrow path that leads to life.
Public policies at various levels of government pertaining to “Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming” ideology are being used to provide uninhibited access to public intimate female facilities such as washrooms, change rooms, and showers. This ideology is not only being considered in Hamilton but also, soon, in all of Canada via Bill C-16.
Just how dark is it? A pamphlet (Gender Identity and Gender Expression) produced by the Ontario Human Rights Commission (which is not the Law) states:
Gender identity is each person’s internal and individual experience of gender. It is their sense of being a woman, a man, both, neither or anywhere along the gender spectrum. A person’s gender identity may be the same as or different from their birth-assigned sex. Gender identity is fundamentally different from a person’s sexual orientation.
When this ideology was first under consideration of becoming public policy, it was labelled the “Bathroom Bill” (C389) but those supporting the bill said it had nothing to do with public washrooms; it was simply about public employment, public housing, and so on, but absolutely not about bathrooms. Senators, such as Donald Plett and Denise Batters, delayed the bill while they sought wording that would ensure that bill C-389 would not be used as a ticket for males to attend public intimate female facilities such as washrooms, change rooms, and showers. Senators supporting the bill would not consent to limiting the scope of this bill, thus, the true face of the bill was revealed at the Senate. The Bathroom Bill died when Parliament was dissolved for the federal election in 2011.
Now here we are again with Bill C-16, which was rushed through Parliament without debate and sent to the Senate where it is be dealt with. Thank God that Senators Plett and Batters are still there and fighting to reject the bill on the ground of public decency but is there enough support to block the bill? Most of the public, perhaps, perceives a transgender person as being one who went through the pain of having their genitalia removed or reconstructed and, as well, had undergone hormonal injections to to alter the physical appearance of the gender. However, according to the OHRC description above, the spectrum seems to be quite expansive to the point where we have to ask, just exactly which males will be prohibited from attending and using intimate public female facilities such as washrooms, change rooms, and showers? Further, as the power to decide who is transgender or gender non-conforming rests strictly with the individual, just how will those managing the public buildings be able to restrict any male from showering with our wives, daughters, and granddaughters? This is a question that should be raised in the Senate, “Just how will public agencies separate the males from the males?”
The OHRC pamphlet also states:
Trans people and other gender non-conforming individuals should not be treated negatively while at work, at school, or trying to rent an apartment, shopping, eating a meal in a restaurant, using health care services or shelters or law enforcement and justice services, or at any other time.
What is meant by the term shelters? Are we to understand that that gender non-conforming males, who claim to self-identify as female or anywhere along the spectrum, will be accepted into women’s shelters where the majority of women have gone to have shelter from abusive males?
There was an article in the Hamilton Spectator dated November 26, 2016 entitled, “Hamilton Girl, 7, Victim of Sex Assaults.” The first paragraph reads:
A Hamilton man is facing 40 charges after the seven-year old daughter of his girlfriend was allegedly made available for sex through Craigslist and sexually assaulted by multiple people.
Other males were arrested and charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, and making child pornography.
How will public agencies and municipalities prohibit males like this from entering change rooms and showers, with young girls, for their own gratification? At what point would they be stopped?
- Before they go through the entrance door? Not likely, given the spectrum of males to be permitted to enter and the power of each male to self-identify where they fit on the spectrum.
- After they enter the area and begin to gratify themselves by observing the young girls in the midst of changing and showering? Too late, the young girls have already been exposed to sexual darkness.
- After they disrobe alongside the young girls? Too late, the young girls have already experienced sexual trauma.
- After they join the young girls in the shower? Too late, the young girls have already suffered life-changing terror.
What does the Municipality say to this seven-year-old girl in the Spectator article if she should be changing or showering in a City pool only to have a male walk through the door causing her to scream out in fear? Will the municipality respond, “It is 2016, get over your transphobia”?
