All Things Not Being Equal

There is a phrase that I often hear church goers use, and I cringe when I hear it: “It is all good.” Friends, it is not all good; as a matter fact, there are things that are evil and even demonic in this world and child sexual abuse ranks right at the top.
Recently, while on vacation, I was reading a book entitled ‘Out from Under – The Impact of Homosexual Parenting,’ which was written by Dawn Stefanowicz, the daughter of a father who put his homosexual addictions ahead of his wife and family. In her book, Dawn bluntly reveals the horrors that she, her siblings and her mother experienced under the out-of-control homosexual acting out by her father, who ultimately died of AIDS at age 51.
In her book, Dawn tells of her vivid childhood dreams—when she saw demons dancing around her parents’ bed. It is a dark and revealing story that not every person would want to read, but I felt compelled to read it during National Gay Pride Month, in order to remind myself of just how destructive sexual abuse is on children; if intervention is not put in place early, there is a high likelihood of a lifetime of sexual acting out. In this particular account, both Dawn’s mother and father were regular church attenders, yet they were both sexually deviant with their children.
Dawn’s father had been a childhood recipient of festering perversions unleashed on him by older relatives, and Dawn’s mother had been neglected in her younger years. At one point, her parents had tried to adopt her out to a well-to-do family, but the prospective parents took one look at her and openly declared how ugly she was; imagine the impact.
Despite what sexual activists may argue, I do not accept the ‘born that way’ explanation for homosexual desires. I recall a seminar I hosted a while back where the guest speakers were a male and female who had lived a portion of their lives homosexually; the male had been homosexually abused by a camp counsellor at an arts camp and the female—like Dawn’s mother—had been rejected for being ugly in her father’s eyes. The male said that, in the counselling service he works with, they found that 95% of males who sought help testified to being sexually abused as children or youths.
Their good news story was the intervention they had received and the restoration they had experienced in acknowledging God’s love and acceptance toward them. Their healing and restoration, of course, were not a simple prayer-and-off-you-go experience; it took time and the dedication of others who sincerely cared for them. If only Dawn’s parents had had access to such intervention, perhaps Dawn and her siblings could have had a much different childhood experience.
Now in Canada, as we know, it is illegal to offer any sort of intervention for people like Dawn’s father (even if he wished it); this is tragic, because people with homosexual tendencies need to be redirected from the destructive behaviours associated with homosexuality. In a paper published by CAITE (Canadian AIDS Treatment Information Exchange) (PDF) in 2018 they state:
“Gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (gbMSM) represent approximately 2% to 3% Canadian population.”
They then go on to state:
“Gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men are 131 times more likely to get HIV than men who do not have sex with men.”
Despite the commonly used phrase, ‘All things being equal,’ when it comes to blurring the sexual boundaries that God provided to mankind for our good, all things are not equal. The implications of acting outside of His boundaries impact not only the individuals involved, but also others; children brought into this world without parents who are married to each other, and children executed before birth for being inconvenient.
It is baffling to me how church-goers can be involved with or support—in any manner—any political party that is pro-LGBT-lifestyle and pro-execution of the pre-born. There is currently only one Canadian federal party for those who hold a Christian world view, and that is, of course, CHP Canada, the Christian Heritage Party of Canada. There is much to be done to fix our broken society because it is not all good and all things are not equal.
CHP Canada recognizes this, and, together with those who support a biblical lifestyle, we will make a difference in the political landscape of Canada.
Join CHP Canada today to make a stand for what you know to be true.
