What Does Russia Know That We Don’t Know?

The media is awash with negativity toward Russia for their recent law “prohibiting homosexual propaganda to target children.” Russia is labelled homophobic by the western media, gay groups, and sympathizers and soundly denounced. The Russians don’t care!

Why not?

When protesters painted the crosswalk in front of the Russian embassy in Stockholm, Sweden, there was no response from the Russian embassy. When protesters poured Russian vodka down the West Hollywood gutters, there was no response from Russia.

Why not? What are we missing?

Western main stream media doesn’t want to mention that the law passed Russia’s lower house by a vote of 436 – 0. That’s outstanding support for the law. Western main stream media doesn’t tell us that, according to repeated surveys in Russia, there is overwhelming support from the Russian people for this law to protect their children.

Don’t expect Russia to recant on this issue. There won’t be any public outcry in Russia. For 70 + years the people suffered under the Communist Manifesto. The church was eradicated in Russia and the government ruled with an iron fist. No Religion allowed! No Christianity allowed! The people lost hope, lost their faith, lost their morals, and lost their private property rights. Corruption was rampant. That was then, this is now.

The audience applauded heartily when Dmitry Kiselyov, a star television journalist, said that the Russian law did not go far enough! And when a popular transvestite comedian was fired because of the law, there was no public outcry.

The Globe and Mail urged attendees at the Russian Olympics in an article entitled, “In Sochi, Ignore the Homophobic Law:” “The Winter Games are thus a golden opportunity for athletes and their supporters to demonstrate their opposition to Russia’s retrograde law. It’s an opportunity that should not be missed.”

To openly defy the Russian law smacks of irresponsibility! Respectable citizens follow the laws of the country they are visiting because they want others to follow their laws when they come to their country.

It’s not the Russian government alone that seeks to protect children from being the targets of the normalization process. It’s the people! Led by the Russian Orthodox Church, the people realize that they are not behind the West in acceptance of homosexuality. They have been there and done that already. And they reject it.

The highly articulate Cambridge graduate and classical music composer, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, No. 2 man in the Russian ecclesiastical hierarchy, does not shrink from providing the rationale.

Russia, he says, is usually portrayed as behind the West in accepting un-Christian practices like homosexuality. In fact, he says, it’s far ahead of the West. These supposedly liberal "advances" are part of the process of secularization in which “the state sets a principle of secularity, independent of any outside authority,” including moral authority, and then “preconditions” the people to accept it.

Russians embarked upon this with the Bolshevik revolution of 1917. After 70 years it left them with the highest suicide, abortion, divorce, and alcoholism rates in the world. They yearn for a return to the old moral order, namely Christianity. They also know where the West is headed, and they don’t want to go back there.

Been there, done that. Not again!

It is time for Canadians to reject the judicial oligarchy and socialistic/fascist system that seeks to target our children by normalizing overt sexual behaviour. From liberal sex classes teaching immorality to grade school children, to the universities pushing ever more deviant practices.
