CHP Canada has long stood for requiring judges to judge miscreants on the laws “as they were written.” But now, we have to question the laws “as they are being written.”
On June 2, 2021, Canadian MP’s voted overwhelmingly AGAINST backbencher MP Cathay Wagantall’s Private Member’s Bill C-233, the Sex-Selective Abortion Act.
Christians are familiar with the statement, “We do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12). This passage serves to remind us that, although in day-to-day life we find ourselves contending with people on important issues, those people are not the source of the problem.
Last December, CHP Canada was invited to be an intervenor in an Ontario Superior Court Judicial Review between Guelph and Area Right to Life (GARL) and the City of Guelph regarding Guelph’s decision to remove 3 pro-life ads from their buses.
Are Prime Minister Trudeau, Canadian Heritage Minster Steven Guilbeault, and Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland trying to import aspects of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) dictatorship into Canada?
Governments don’t always respect their mandate. They don’t always follow the rules. Police, in some instances, also break the law. Who keeps these powerful groups accountable to the laws and to the Charter? Theoretically, the courts. But how?
