Condolences, Condemnation and Courage

On behalf of the Christian Heritage Party of Canada, I would like to express our most sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the families and loved ones of Cpl. Nathan Cirillo and Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent.
They have given their lives as Canadian soldiers. Let us not forget their great sacrifice made on our own soil. We salute the thousands of fine women and men who serve our country with courage and dignity, laying their lives on the line defending our country both at home and abroad.
We strongly condemn the cowardly actions of the men who murdered Cpl. Cirillo and Warrant Officer Vincent in cold blood; not in the heat of battle; not in an armed conflict; rather the equivalent of a shot in the back to an unsuspecting target.
We condemn the pernicious ideology that has caused some of our youth to turn on those who have protected them. This ideology must be removed like a cancer. Those who espouse it must be denied access to our shores and those who are born in Canada must feel the full effects of an outraged society on their cowardly behaviour.
Our soldiers have been asked to remove the uniform that generations of Canadian soldiers have proudly worn. They have been commanded to wear civilian clothes when off duty. We encourage the armed forces to allow individual soldiers to decide for themselves if they wish to wear their uniform when off duty or dress as civilians. Our brave men and women deserve the respect of being able to make adult decisions with regards to their personal safety and their right to proudly display who they are.
The Christian Heritage Party of Canada would close our borders to those who will not adopt the heritage that demands respect for Canadian law and our citizens. You can see our full immigration platform here.
“Home grown terrorists”, who have denied the rights of our fellow Canadians and rejected the rules of law and order should feel the full effects of society’s outrage at their malevolent behaviour.
They have slaughtered valuable, contributing members of Canadian society. They have rejected our lifestyle, which treats all people as equals. They have chosen to take on the role of executioner of innocents. They have chosen to manipulate Canadians through the use of terror. We abhor and reject such behaviour and call for a minimum of 25 years imprisonment and revoking of the Canadian passport for those who commit acts of terror.
