What Will You Accomplish With Your Vote?

Vicki GunnDon’t you love the excitement of this election? Election signs springing up like tulips and daffodils. People walking up and down the street, knocking on doors hoping to connect with voters. The incredibly well-choreographed commercials that the larger parties put up—at taxpayer expense—thanks to the money that is put into their coffers for being the most popular parties.

But, there is more to this election than the optics.

Canadians will be choosing a leader who will hopefully control wisely the ‘purse strings’ for our country. We will be choosing a leader who will—hopefully—stand up under moral scrutiny. We will be choosing a party that we’ll be able to trust—hopefully—to govern wisely.

That’s a tall order for a political party that does not have a firm foundation. We need only look to the past nine years of government under a Prime Minister who broke our laws on marijuana while (theoretically) serving as a protector of our laws, who was guilty of a series of ethics violations, who sunk our economy ever—so—deeply into debt. A Prime Minister who doubled our national debt, doubled the interest that we pay and raised our taxes to pay that interest (now about $125 million in interest every single day).

It’s important that we know where each party stands on our country’s truly important matters.

Have you considered the more than three million Canadian babies who have died by abortion since Trudeau Sr. (Pierre) legalized it back in 1969? Did you approve of that? Did you vote for that? Remember, your vote is a sacred trust. You ought to use it to elect wise and godly government that will look out for the interests of all Canadians.

Have you considered future generations who will be forced to take on the debt that our generation has incurred? Did you support with your vote the lavish spending of your tax dollars, which has enmired our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in debt?

What about Canadian children who have been neutered and disfigured through efforts to change them from boys to girls or girls to boys? Did you support that with your vote?

In fact, all three major parties have been complicit in the disfiguring and neutering of our children. Every MP of every party now represented in the House voted, or at least accepted passively, the passage of Bill C-4, the bill that made it a criminal act to counsel one’s children against gender transitioning and sexual mutilation.

Of course, one of the greatest issues of public concern today is that of tariffs and retaliatory tariffs. Will Canada react with “dollar-for-dollar” retaliation because that panders to our pride? Or will politicians take steps to lower the temperature and negotiate with our southern neighbour, realizing that raising prices for people on both sides is going to make it harder for Canadians to feed, clothe and shelter our families?

If you voted for any of the parties currently represented in Parliament then—like it or not—you have voted in favour of abortion, euthanasia, gender confusion and financial theft from our children and grandchildren. Too often, we don’t think of the far-reaching effects of our vote. But it’s time to start.

The parties currently represented in Parliament have, in the past, are in the present and will in the future continue to make decisions based on what they think will gain votes rather than what is morally right. They cannot do otherwise, because their values are not based on an immovable standard. They are based on human whims and desires. Human whims and desires are a changing standard.

It’s really time to consider the value of your God-given vote. Are you ready to account for the travesties that your vote has allowed to happen, or would you rather play a meaningful role in inviting the blessings that God can pour out on us like spring rain? “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land!

The Christian Heritage Party of Canada is the only party that stands unambiguously on a solid moral foundation. We will not change our standards based on the whims of a godless culture. We recognize the solid, unmovable standard of right and wrong established by our Creator. CHP policies are based on that unmovable standard.

Our candidates offer to become Members of Parliament with backbones of steel, not spines of jello. They will not flag on moral matters. They will not indenture our children with more debt. They will not stand mute or support with their vote the taking of innocent life. These are men and women of solid character! Check them out.

On our website today, you will find candidates who will stand for our historic Christian heritage, who will treat all Canadians equally, who will protect human life, who will protect future generations from the theft of rising interest payments.

Contact your candidate today and offer your help. If you have no candidate in 2025, then it’s time to begin looking for a CHP Candidate for the next election. Don’t let pragmatic moral compromise steal another election. Make your vote count!
