Should something bring down our communications infrastructure, what’s the backup plan? We all want to ensure that Canada is prepared to survive should a real problem develop, but Bill C-8 gives the government some fearsome powers. Is the tradeoff worth it, or should we be ‘standing on guard’ as the Trojan Horse is wheeled into the city?

Canadians are about to be victimized and defrauded once again. Mark Carney’s ambitious plan to build high-speed rail between Toronto and Quebec City is going to cost an awful lot of money, take an awful lot of time, and benefit a very small segment of Canada’s population, while the vast majority of taxpayers will never use the service.

Nothing new here. We shouldn’t be surprised. But we should be alarmed and outraged. With no hint of shame, PM Mark Carney and his Liberal gang are announcing their intentions to run roughshod over public opinion now that they have a clear majority in the House.

The recent spate of floor-crossings—the latest and most disgraceful by long-time Conservative MP Marilyn Gladu—has stirred much anger and outrage.... Many are saying—as Ms. Gladu herself said only weeks ago—that a politician who crosses the floor should have to face the voters in a by-election and not just take up a new and lofty position in the party he or she once denounced.

How many of us use our bank cards for a myriad of daily purchases? Today, some Canadians are receiving notices from their banks, advising them that their bank no longer wishes to keep them as a customer (debanked). They scramble to reinvent their banking strategies.

Terms often mean different things to different people; let’s look at the term ‘winning’. What about the individual who takes a stand for Godly principles at a school debate club only to be ridiculed and called a hater and a loser, while the other debater defending behaviour that goes beyond God’s boundaries receives boisterous cheers and is declared the winner; is there perhaps a hero here as well?

As most of you already know, the Christian Heritage Party lost a significant battle this week with the announcement of the decision by the Ontario Court of Appeals regarding our proposed bus shelter ad: Woman: An Adult Female. We lost a battle; we have not lost the war. This is definitely a setback and a disappointment; but it is not a cause for despair.

Today, there are wicked men in Canada who are setting traps for Christians. Bill C-9 is one of those traps. It is disguised as the “Combatting Hate Act.” It is meant to catch people speaking the truth and charge them with “hate.” Bill C-22 is another snare disguised as a necessary tool for law enforcement.

Just like that, the world has been thrust into the shock and turmoil of war. With the preemptive attack by the USA and Israel on the Supreme Leader of Iran, we are ushered into a new phase of geopolitical wranglings and mixed commentary that challenges the thinking of even the most astute.

For freedom-loving Christians and all people of good will, Bill C-9—now being debated in Committee and soon back on the floor of the House—is among the most insidious, wicked pieces of legislation that have ever darkened our collective door. It contains toxic and deceptive language meant to disguise its evil intent.

Section 15 of the Constitution Act is a portion that blows up when a notable person faces charges…or doesn’t but, we think, should. During the #MeToo movement, we saw the abuse of power for sexual reasons highlighted. Recognizing that there were legitimate claims, which we hope were acted on by police, we also watched high level people brought down by charges in the court of public opinion but not sufficient evidence for legal action.
