Overview
Our Heritage
Canada’s heritage is common to all western countries where the laws are founded on biblical values. The fruits of this heritage are unparalleled freedoms and equal standing before the law for all citizens. One could take a map of the world, highlight those countries with the greatest historic freedoms and equality of opportunity and see the benefits that have come to their citizens from our shared Christian heritage.
As secularism has taken root in our society, we have seen incredible pressure placed on people to conform to the thoughts of the secularist movement. This has manifested in increased limitations on our historic freedoms and equalities.
Over past decades, we have seen a greater number of laws that provide extra protections for one group, leaving all Canadians who are not part of that group with ‘lesser protection,’ thus not equal under the law.
Laws have been passed based on exceptional circumstances rather than on normal circumstances. In an effort to avoid the dramatic and sometimes heartrending complications of exceptional circumstances, all Canadians have been forced to pay a price in lost freedoms.
Governments have encroached into the homes of Canadians, the historic sphere of the family, and robbed families of their right to self-govern.
It is to address these inequities, and other governmental abuses of power, that the Christian Heritage Party provides Canadians with these Better Solutions.
We invite you to visit often, and read our weekly Communiqué, to get the pulse of average, everyday Canadians reclaiming our God-given rights and freedoms by reclaiming our democratic government.
CHP Platform for Election 2025
Life and Family
CHP Canada has Better Solutions to strengthen the family, which is the foundation of a strong, stable society. Our policies defend innocent life from conception to natural death. Our solutions recognize spheres of sovereignty such as a parent’s right to govern their home and family without fear of recrimination or usurpation by our bloated government. Economy
Canada’s economy either enriches or impoverishes both future generations and today’s citizens. Pride in what we have contributed to society ensures a healthy, productive workforce. A healthy, productive workforce enriches those who serve an active role, both in material resources and in their ability to serve their families and others. Thus government spending must remain tightly controlled to ensure private enterprise is enabled through the growth of small businesses and the development of the private sector. National Defence
Canada has been irresponsible by failing to fulfil our defence obligations to NATO. We deployed our soldiers to Latvia, where they were in harm’s way, and they had to purchase their own ballistic helmets, suitable weapons, rain gear, bullet proof vests and belts to carry water and ammunition. We deployed our soldiers to Poland with inadequate food rations while they were serving our country.
Our government is responsible to protect our citizens and equip our soldiers when they are sent into active duty. To send our soldiers into harms way without the necessary weaponry, equipment, and sustenance is a violation of the trust of soldiers and violates the trust of all Canadians.
We commit to ensuring Canadian soldiers are properly outfit to protect our own borders and fulfill the missions we take on. Read Our National Defence Platform
Justice & Defending Your Rights
Justice is more than crime and punishment, although that remains an important part of true justice. It includes equal protection and equal culpability of all Canadians under our laws. True justice does not allow partiality or special protections for any individual or group of people.
Our justice platform focuses on restitution for property crimes and public safety from violent crime. Read Our Justice Platform
Immigration & Refugees
To enjoy the privilege of living in Canada, immigrants—although proud of their own cultural heritage—must pledge their allegiance to the new land that they have chosen to call their home. We are, rightly, proud of our tradition of accepting immigrants and refugees.
In order to protect the process for legitimate immigrants and refugees, a firm hand must be taken to protect Canadians from those who do not value our democratic values and who may pose a threat to Canada’s national security. We must safeguard the security of our borders from illegal immigration. Read Our Immigration & Refugees Platform
Environment & Resource Management
Mankind has been given the responsibility of “stewarding” the earth, including its natural resources, its varied life forms and its complex ecosystems, for the benefit of future generations and to protect the integrity and beauty of God’s creation. We must respectfully and gratefully use and maintain the function of our natural ecosystems.
The climate on our planet has changed since the beginning of time. As faithful stewards, we must seek to preserve our planet while recognizing that there is much that we do not control.
Canada has also been blessed with an abundance of natural resources, including fossil fuels, fresh water, productive land, minerals and a wide variety of plants and animals, which are not only beautiful but useful to our citizens.
The Christian Heritage Party will establish management guidelines based on principles of respectful and efficient use of non-renewable resources and wise replenishment and care for renewable resources. Read Our Environment & Resource Management Platform
Healthcare
Our Canadian Healthcare system, though envied by many countries, is in serious need of an overhaul.
Wait times are far too long for necessary medical services. Emergency room waits can be excessive since COVID with some Emergency Rooms being closed due to lack of available doctors. Access to medical treatment is a human right and must be addressed. We must streamline the approval process for doctors arriving from other countries. We must also provide incentives for Canadians assuming a medical career; to attract medical practitioners to rural communities; and improve access to medical technologies and research.
There is more to maintaining the good health of Canadians than medical teams. COVID showed us a cold attitude toward the vital role played by the presence of loved ones. Never again should we see Canadians dying alone while family members are denied access. Read Our Healthcare Platform
Science & Technology
Science is knowledge and technology is its application. Together, they are the dominant driving forces for the rapid increase in knowledge in the Information Age in which we live.
Canadian laws must be updated to protect Canadians from abuse of their personal information, the unauthorized collection of personal data, surveillance technology and the tracking of our movements and activities. Read Our Science & Technology Platform
