About Irma

• Born in Alberta, lived in Montreal, Mississauga and Harriston.
• 60 years young and a farmer for 40 years.
• Lived in Harriston since 1979.
• Self Employed – Small business owner – cash crop, growing wheat and non-GMO soybeans for export; green energy hydro-electricity generation plant, sales of used Westeel grain bins.
• Previous Employment:  My husband John and I were small time dairy farmers for 24 years receiving awards for BCA and Quality milk.

Education

• Education: Gr. 12 Gordon Graydon SS Mississauga (Peel BOE)
• Many special interest courses at the college level in accounting and business.
• Toastmasters club attained several Competent Communicator and Competent Leader and High Performance Leadership awards.

Community Involvement

• Board Member Listowel and District Right to Life 6 years
• Finance Committee Member Listowel Christian School (6 years) & 3 years each on Promotion, Fundraising, Long Range planning committee, Library, Bazaar and Willing Workers.
• Foster Parent 5 years
• Active in local church as a women’s Bible study group for more than 30 years and VBS leader.
• Mount Forest Motivator’s Toastmaster’s Club 2005-2019
• Christian Heritage Party Ontario Council secretary and convention planning committee
