About Ernest

Ernest Chauvet was born, raised his six children, and continues to reside in Legal. He has a background in teaching, farming, tourism and forming youth to be Christian leaders.  

Ernest served as president of the French Canadian Association of Alberta, the local Chamber of Commerce, and coordinated over 50 murals in Legal and Morinville. He worked with numerous Christian denominations as one of the founding directors of Kids Kottage Children’s Crisis Center. He spearheaded the formation of the John Paul II Bible School, leading their Christian formation program for 15 years. 

Ernest and his wife Lorretta have worked in Haiti with Christian organizations to send goods and 150,000 meals to children there. Their ongoing ministry is helping people in Haiti.
