Are Victims Valueless?

Tue, December 12, 2023   |   Author: Gunn   |   Volume 30    Issue 50 | Share: Gab | Facebook | Twitter

“All innocent life is equal in worth,” our Prime Minister told the world. He did add: “Israeli and Palestinian.” But he said, “innocent life.” I heard him, and you can hear him also at the 25 second point of this video. I was captured by the words and laid down my opposition to Mr. Trudeau, while I awaited legislation that would prohibit the killing of approximately 100,000 innocent, pre-born Canadians every year.

Perhaps you thought my reaction a bit . . . naïve. But in the same interview, he gave further claims that he was going to become the protector of life. At 1:03 in the clip, our Prime Minister said, “Killing of women, children, . . . of babies has to stop.” (Emphasis was in his delivery)

Sadly, that photo op was the end of it. The legislation to protect innocent human life in Canada did not arrive. He was only concerned with what other countries were doing . . . not Canada.

Our Prime Minister is very good at speaking words intended to persuade listeners of his good intentions. He speaks of kindness and compassion . . . but does he truly think that all victims have value?

Mr. Trudeau knows the words to say to reach his audience, but his words are empty. They mean nothing, but they sound so good. We’ve heard him say, for years, that he’s a feminist. We’ve watched him, year after year, placing white roses in memory of the tragedy of the École Polytechnique massacre. We’ve listened to his words.

Yet, what is his record on women?

We have all heard of his physical touch to a reporter and then his pathetic apology, implying the woman deserved respect because she was a reporter. “I’m sorry,” he is quoted as saying. “If I had known you were reporting for a national paper I never would have been so forward.”

Does he make a habit of disrespecting women? How about this comment at 54 seconds, where he throws off a flippant, “Women get raped all the time.” The tragedy of this statement, is that he sees that as a rationale for abortion, he does not see it as a tragedy in the woman’s life. One could interpret his words as, “Kill the baby and the incident is over. It’s a victimless crime.”

Is that overly harsh of me?

Let’s look at what Mr. Trudeau has done with our legal system regarding rape and kidnapping . . . violence against women and children. “C-5 contained another dangerous clause that largely flew under the radar: it allows judges to issue community sentences for those convicted of sexual assault or kidnapping.”

Did you catch that?

After a family member suffers kidnapping and assault, will families feel that justice has been done if the perpetrator will be forced to stay in the comfort of his home to pay for his crime? She suffers through the physical injuries, the emotional injuries, the devastation of her life. He sits in his living room watching TV.

A look through the internet will reveal that women and children are the victims of C-5’s light handling of kidnapping and rape perpetrators.

In October 2022, a man convicted of molesting girls 7 and 10 years old, received a conditional sentence that he will serve at home.

Where was our feminist government leader when last October a Supreme Court Judge ruled it unconstitutional for the legal system to be required to add sex offenders (with two or more convictions) to the sex offenders registry? Is our Constitution really so toothless that it protects perpetrators, while victims are thrown under the bus?

Under this government, we have seen men access women’s shelters, washrooms, and change rooms. We’ve seen parents denied the right to parent and guide their children in critical matters. We are watching the disassembling of our culture and our legal system.

It’s time to look at what the Christian Heritage Party would do.

This information is not exhaustive; it gives you the opportunity to see the application of laws under CHP Canada. We would:

  • Defend against Human Rights Commission attacks on free speech and the equality of all Canadians.
  • Protect Canadians from being forced into acts that violate their conscience.
  • Recognize the sanctity of life and the personhood of the pre-born.
  • Defend democracy and our Constitution.
  • Enshrine the right to private property, which is currently not protected under our Charter.
  • Enshrine parental rights and the right to protect home and family.
  • Protect Victims from:
    • Violent young Offenders.
    • Chronic Offenders and the revolving door of ‘catch and release.’
    • Property Offenders.

It’s time to stop looking at your grandfather’s political choices. It’s time to look at the fresh thinking of the Christian Heritage Party of Canada.
