Our candidate for CHP Hamilton Mountain, Jim Enos, unashamedly and very ably represented CHP Canada by preparing and presenting strong arguments to the Ontario Standing Committee on Bill 13, the “Anti-Bullying Bill.” This Communiqué captures the essence of his arguments, which clearly explain how the Anti-Bullying Bill actually is bullying Christians. Jim said:

It has been said that, “The world is divided not so much by geographic boundaries as by religious and cultural traditions, by people’s most deeply held beliefs—worldviews.”

As a biblically founded Christian organization, the Christian Heritage Party of Canada believes that there is a transcendent God who existed before the world existed and who has revealed an absolute and unchanging standard of right and wrong, based ultimately on His holy character.

Others believe that nature is all there is, there is no transcendent source of moral truth and that mankind is left to construct morality based on polls, political strength, and so on.

The important question then arises—can these opposing worldviews live side by side in harmony?

I believe that the Anti-Bullying Bill, Bill 13, is perhaps mankind’s attempt to, in a partial way, cause opposing worldviews to live peacefully side by side by instituting measures to reduce schoolyard bullying. Prevention of bullying of all persons in society is certainly an honourable ideal; Bill 13 however does not accomplish this…

Having served for the full two-year tenure on the Sexual Orientation Steering Committee for the Equity [in Education] Policy of my local public school board, my experience was that when we presented positions (along with the evidence on which they were based), we were unfairly ignored, shut down, and negatively labelled. We maintain that our positions were neither biased nor prejudiced.

The children and families who share our views are today labelled within the Equity Policy as homophobic and heterosexist despite the fact that our position is based on solid evidence, not on bias or prejudice. We are targeted and bullied by equity policies for our evidence-based worldview.

In Canada today, when a church declines to rent its facilities to a same-sex union event it is persecuted and prosecuted by a Human Rights Commission, however, when the state declines to rent publicly-funded facilities to a church then Bill 13 permits this in the name of bullying prevention. State worldview trumps church worldview.

Protection of all people from intimidation for any reason is an honourable goal. However:

Sheltering any worldview from public scrutiny, discussion, dialogue or debate is restrictive of freedom of thought and expression.

State worldviews which penalize peaceful and rational thought and dismiss medical and scientific evidence as discrimination are representative of a totalitarian state.

State efforts to free society from transcending moral standards and penalize those who adhere to those moral standards are wicked at the root and reminiscent of the persecution of Christians in Roman days, when believers were thrown to the lions for the crime of not acknowledging Caesar as Lord.

Bill 13 is guilty of all three offenses above and thus is not acceptable in a free and democratic society.

Instead, legislative efforts to reduce or eliminate bullying should:

Replace Bill 13 with a bill designed to protect all students and peoples and groups from bullying.

Recognize that while all people deserve protection from bullying, no worldview should be sheltered from public scrutiny, discussion, dialogue or debate.

In closing, I offer the following quote from Chief Justice McLachlin (S.C.C.) in Chamberlain v. Surrey School District #36:

As my colleague points out, the demand for tolerance cannot be interpreted as the demand to approve of another person’s beliefs or practices. When we ask people to be tolerant of others, we do not ask them to abandon their personal convictions.

We look forward to a Bullying Prevention Bill which does not demand that our families approve of another person’s beliefs or practices; a Bill which does not ask us to abandon our own personal convictions.

To receive the full version of Jim Enos’ address contact our national office at NationalOffice@chp.ca

Our thanks go out to Jim Enos for preparing and presenting to the Ontario Legislatures Committee on behalf of CHP Canada. While we recognise that education is a provincial matter, CHP Canada is concerned about the assault on our freedoms and equalities by legislation purportedly designed to protect Canadians but which in reality creates systemic approval of a violation of equality, freedom of religion, and freedom of speech.

Where our God-given rights and freedoms are violated, as in this type of legislation, CHP Canada calls on our federal government to fulfill its governmental mandate of protecting all Canadians from legislative violations of our Charter guaranteed rights.

How many of us really paid attention when Agenda 21 came upon the scene? As we heard more and more about it, did we write it off as “conspiracy theory material?” Did it sound too much like something from a spy novel? Maybe it’s time we took a closer look at Agenda 21.

If we’re going to be governed by it, perhaps we should explore it to find out if it’s something we are willing to have supersede Canadian law.

Hidden agendas concealed in promises of economic prosperity can be made to appear very attractive and effective, yet can be decidedly deceptive. Such an agenda strategically implemented during times of adversity by so-called trustworthy leaders can entrap the person busy with children’s braces, soccer practices, and church related activities. It can secretly move entire nations to fulfilling the desires of the instigators.

A simple movie, like Avatar, can make oneness with nature something to be desired; a collective consciousness with “Mother Earth” and each other becomes a goal of great value. A child’s program with catchy songs and pleasing thoughts can change the thinking of an entire generation…for good or bad.

The world-wide economic collapse in 2008 could not have been a more ideal time to further the implementation of such an agenda because this downturn had people around the globe looking to their leadership for protection from feeling the pain of this economic collapse. Surely our leaders can rescue us!

Let me first draw your attention to a few who are blowing a whistle on the so-called Agenda 21. As the video points out, in its infancy, this agenda would probably not have been taken seriously nor should it have been. After all, who would seriously believe that “sustainable development” could possibly mean the world-wide elimination and/or reduction of pastures for livestock, farm lands, fish ponds, skiing resorts, golf courses, paved roads, and dams? Much less would they seriously believe that it would include the lowering of a population’s education level, the elimination of private property, and efforts to drastically reduce a nation’s (and the world’s) population—including discouraging the family unit (because it makes children). “Agenda 21 in a Nutshell—Yes Canada this Applies to You Too” can be viewed in this nine minute video report here. Well (if you watched the video) you can see that Agenda 21 was in fact birthed in the United Nations and brought into reality at the 1992 Rio de Janeiro Conference, (PDF) which was attended by approximately 18,000 people world-wide including Canadians. It has been endorsed by executive orders from President Bush, Clinton, and Obama and Canada’s positions on the issues it raises can be found in part here.

On reading and viewing this development many “red” flags are going up that we should to be very concerned about. For instance, Principle #1 under Ecological Integrity states that: “Human beings are at the center of concerns for sustainable development. They are entitled to a healthy and productive life in harmony with nature.” I read that as saying that, “people are the problem; we have to live on an equal basis with other natural creatures and we’ll be told what we are entitled to expect.”

Are they being deceptive? One report has Mr. Gary Lawrence, advisor to Clinton’s President’s Council on Sustainable Development, stating: “Calling it a local Agenda 21 will have elected officials defeated. So, we will call our process something else such as ‘Comprehensive Planning’ or ‘Growth Management’ or ‘Smart Growth.’” Hmm… It’s obvious the elected officials feel safer with these terms to hide behind and they obviously don’t want the whole truth to be known, at least, not yet.

Further, at a London International Free Press Society on March 18th, 2012, Robert Vaughan reports that Britain’s Lord Christopher Monckton sees Agenda 21 as a ruthless depopulation agenda. That it is a totalitarian left wing document that is completely wrong headed and he spells out the truths of what he sees will actually happen if this agenda is implemented. Interestingly, the videos report on an “Economic Prosperity” plan, which will include the introduction of “Public/Private Partnering” a goal that some say will drive free enterprise out of business and undoubtedly threaten the free market.

So do any of these terms and/or objectives ring a bell yet? They should.

Take our Conservative government’s 2011 budget named:

CANADA’s ECONOMIC ACTION PLAN

Jobs * Growth * Prosperity Advancing Public-Private Partnerships (Budget 2011)

This looks and sounds impressive but it has Agenda 21 written all over it. As Mr. Gary Lawrence pointed out, to call it “Agenda 21” would have our elected official defeated, yet “Growth & Prosperity” sounds so…nice, and then including “Advancing Public-Private Partnerships (Budget 2011)” makes it a dead giveaway.

The mentality of Agenda 21 can bring further clarity as to why our government is not concerned about Canada’s declining birthrate, which, at 1.6 children per female, is well below what is needed to maintain our population but right on target for population reduction. As well, the killing of over 100,000 preborn infants every year lines up perfectly with Agenda 21, so why have the debate!

Canadians do not have the Constitutional right to own private property. This is beneficial for our government which would have needed to take away a Constitutional Right in order to implement Agenda 21.

Agenda 21 is very “bad news” and has “hidden agenda” written all over it.

This is only a snapshot of something that we all need to take a serious look at over the coming weeks and months.

Our Christian Heritage Party policy is that our national laws are sovereign. Allowing an organization such as the United Nations to implement laws that mix contradictory values, cultures, and institutions would require one set of values to submit to the other. Canadians are the best ones to determine better solutions for Canada.

Over the next few months, we will be re-visiting this issue, to keep you informed about how our government is managing Canada’s national sovereignty. Let’s be vigilant! Our freedoms and those of our children and grandchildren are at stake. At CHP.ca, find out how you can help expose the works of darkness and restore godly principles of truth and justice to Canada’s legal and social institutions.

In politics, we have learned to expect surprises. We’ve seen a one-time NDP Premier of Ontario become the leader of the federal Liberals (oops! just before they tanked…) We’ve seen a big-name female MP recruited by the Liberals (oops again!) to shift the balance of power and we’ve seen a big-business lumberman elected as a Liberal, only to sit—days after the election—as a Conservative cabinet minister. But when have we seen a sitting Prime Minister in a majority government use the power of his office to attack his own backbench MP, thus strengthening the efforts of the Official Opposition in their frantic attack on logic, science, and the most basic of human rights—the right to life?

No, Mr. Harper didn’t cross the floor to sit with his NDP colleagues. He didn’t have to. He simply announced that a Private Member’s Motion put forward by one of his own Conservative caucus was “unfortunately deemed votable by an all-party parliamentary committee,” and said that “I will be voting against it.” If he had hoped to score any brownie points with Thomas Mulcair’s NDP caucus, Mr. Harper was, no doubt, disappointed. The “New Democrats” instead complained that Mr. Harper “could have prevented the motion from being put forward” and that he should have punished his MP for presenting it.

On Thursday, April 26, 2012, MP Stephen Woodworth of Kitchener Centre opened the first hour of parliamentary debate on his Motion 312, a motion calling upon Parliament to establish a parliamentary committee to examine Canada’s 400-year-old definition of a “human being,” a definition that excludes even a living, breathing infant until it has emerged from the body of its mother.

This latest skirmish within the Conservative caucus and the corresponding attacks from the Opposition mark only the most recent of a dozen or more times when PM Harper has declared his resolve “not to re-open” the issue of abortion. He has stated on more than one occasion that he will resist any attempt to introduce legislation regarding abortion and that if any such legislation does come to the floor of the House “as long as I am Prime Minister, it will be defeated.”

Of course, all of those brave and enduringly optimistic souls—who have laboured over the past 40 years to shift the culture and to protect the unborn as well as pregnant women from the harm of abortion—know that the debate has never been closed. “Re-opening the debate” is just another bit of linguistic jingoism meant to blame serious protectors of life for upsetting the placid waters of a nation which has accepted the deliberate killing of the helpless. The fact that this gentle motion, calling only for a committee to examine the issues based on current science and medicine, has come under such scathing and relentless attack simply shows how fearful the pro-abort MPs are of examining the facts. That includes their new comrade, PM Stephen Harper.

For years, going all the way back to the early days of the Reform Party, apologists and strategists of that party claimed that, in order to change the social order in Canada, to have a chance to restore morality, strengthen the family and reduce the number of abortions, pro-lifers and family advocates would have to accept compromise, “fly under the radar,” earn the respect of Canadian voters, work through subtle and incremental channels to achieve results, support loyally the broad-based coalition of social and fiscal conservatives, and trust that over time, (a very long time,) Canadians would democratically choose—through referenda or other grass-roots mechanisms—to protect human life in the womb. Indeed, if Canadians did not choose to protect the unborn, no blame would rest on the politicians representing them in Ottawa. It would simply reflect the triumph of the democratic process and—presto!—the will of the people, supplanting the divine right of kings, would bear any and all moral consequences of social and legal failure to defend the innocent.

In the transition from Reform to Alliance and ultimately to the Conservative Party of Canada, social conservatives were repeatedly warned not to “rock the boat.” Protection for the unborn could not be party policy as that would only scare people away and the emerging Conservative Party could never help the prolife movement until they had stealthily achieved power. Once they tasted minority government, their socially conservative supporters were humoured and cajoled with the obvious explanation that their hero, Mr. Harper, could (of course) do nothing for the prolife cause until the CPC had a majority government. Voters could not afford to take any chances on voting for courageous prolife candidates or even a prolife party like the Christian Heritage Party. Mr. Harper needed a majority to tackle the thorny issue of abortion. This, in spite of Mr. Harper’s many clear and unequivocal statements that he would resist any legislation or discussion of the abortion question.

Well, Mr. Harper has his majority. There are still CPC loyalists pathetically claiming that Mr. Harper will act when he has a majority of prolife MPs. But honest citizens must face the facts: Mr. Harper opposed the Unborn Victims of Crime Bill of his own MP Ken Epp; Mr. Harper opposed Roxanne’s Law, the anti-coercion bill of his own MP Rod Bruinooge; last year, Mr. Harper’s own Cabinet minister, Bev Oda, gave $6 million to Planned Parenthood (with his apparent blessing); and now, with a majority government, Mr. Harper has called the Personhood Motion of his own wonderful MP Stephen Woodworth “unfortunate” and pledged to vote against it.

When will prolife voters wake up and accept that this prime minister and his party are not prolife? Mr. Harper and those close to him have clearly distanced themselves from the prolife cause. Those brave and courageous individuals within his party who are working so hard to bring the issue of respect for human life to the floor of Parliament are doing so at their own peril. They deserve our strongest support and encouragement for they face the Official Opposition, spiritual opposition, media opposition, and opposition from within their own party.

Their cause is just. It is they, and not their detractors, who will receive the plaudits of history. May their courage and determination burn ever brighter. We salute them!

In the meantime, there is only one federal political party committed to the defense of innocent human life from conception to natural death and that is the Christian Heritage Party. Join CHP Canada and help us move the debate forward. For Better Solutions for Life, visit CHP.ca.

Canada identified as a source of (late abortion) fetal body parts

Canada identified as a source of (late abortion) fetal body parts

Pro-choice manipulators frequently discredit pro-lifers and conveniently twist any argument that may exhibit negative light on anything connected to their precious secret abortion practices. Discrediting is simple and it works.

In this horrific case in the USA some years ago, they accused and discredited pro-lifers as spreading vicious gossip, lurid stories, and hatred against abortion providers. Yet the truth was Mr. Alberty, a fetal tissue procurement tech, tried to report to the FBI that babies at the abortion clinic where he worked were being brought to him fully alive for dissection. Gruesome! It begs the question what would you do in such circumstances.

He states in his testimony under oath (PDF) “The reason why I called the FBI was one day that I did see two twin fetuses at 24-plus gestational weeks born out alive and brought back to me in a metal pan… it very much disturbed me to the point where I did not know what to do. In my eyes, seeing two twin fetuses moving and kicking and breathing in a pan really upset me…. all I saw was they were untouched, meaning there was no clamp marks on them, they weren’t bleeding, they were two twins cuddling each other in front of me. And I walked out the door…and that’s the reason why I contacted the FBI.”

Then Mr. Alberty, not satisfied with the response he was getting from the FBI, decided to report the incident to the prolife organization Life Dynamics. Yes, even Mr. Alberty admitted that he embellished some of what he said while he was being interviewed on TV (his identity hidden), under very stressful conditions. But, that cannot take away from the truth of what he was testifying to under oath.

The pro-choice manipulators quickly twisted the case by saying Alberty was a paid spy for Life Dynamics when he was actually a paid employee of the abortion industry and later was remunerated by Life Dynamics for coming forward.

Now is Canada involved in this grisly tale? Absolutely! Along with China and North Korea, Canada has no abortion laws whatsoever and so is fertile ground as a source for more mature fetal parts.

Related directly to the Alberty case is the LifeSiteNews report about Dr. Miles Jones, “a broker between abortion clinics supplying body parts and those interested in the body parts—ostensibly for research purposes….Jones expected Canada to be the leading source of fetal body parts, especially for ‘late’ abortions, thus ‘larger’ babies. On hidden camera, Jones was recorded as saying about Canada: ‘We’re actually going in there and saying to the [abortion] clinic, we’re going to cover some of your processing costs, and your overhead. We become a very attractive alternative to them. So…I’m believing that they’re going to be our best source for the late ones and we know where the larger ones are…’”

The pro-choice manipulators quickly argue that the Alberty case was an isolated one. However, this couldn’t be further from the truth. I wrote, in 2011 of the case of Brenda Shafer, a nurse who testified under oath of the horrific procedures she witnessed for late term abortions.

Then, a botched procedure similar to what Brenda had witnessed was reported by former clinic manager, Eric Harrah, who gave a video interview reported disclosing live births as the abortion industry’s “dirty secret.” Harrah states: “Then we both looked and a little baby’s arm raised up out of the towel and was moving like a newborn baby. I screamed and ran out. The doctor came in and closed the door and when we went back in to process the baby out of the clinic into the lab, [the baby] had a puncture wound in his chest.” Referring to the live births, Harrah said: “It was always very disturbing, so the doctor would try to conceal it from the rest of the staff.”

At times like this, the pro-choice manipulators quickly have professionals in the field testify of the great benefit of fetal tissue research to help in finding cures for Diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Osteoporosis, Cancer, and Spinal Cord injury, in order that these so called isolated incidences don’t change the laws. That strongly implies that those inconsiderate pro-lifers care little for people suffering of these diseases. The truth is that the greatest advances in such research have come from using adult stem-cells; fetal stem cells have yielded almost no progress, and have often been harmful.

I read today of the latest manipulation by Planned Parenthood to counteract Campaign Life’s prayer initiative by launching their own 40 Days of Prayer for abortion. The campaign prays for those involved in the “sacred care” of abortions to continue protecting, providing, and embracing the procedure—including mothers, escorts, abortionists, and everyone involved except the preborn (and newly born) children. “Planned Parenthood has stooped to a new low by exploiting pastors and churches to ‘celebrate’ the slaughter of babies made in God’s image and likeness,” the article says.

We, at CHP Canada, know what the solution to all this is, but convincing pro-lifers of this presents the greater challenge. The majority Conservative government turned out to be a major disappointment to them (we warned them of that). The newest strategy in some pro-life circles is to network in an attempt to elect a majority of pro-life MPs to parliament. This will prove to be another major disappointment as it is not 170 pro-life MPs but rather the thousands of pro-choice delegates that set those (major) party policies and those thousands of Conservative, Liberal, and NDP delegates will not allow that to happen. In the 2005 Conservative Party Convention, delegates voted to not introduce pro-life legislation. This remains the decision of the party. Why keep flogging a dead horse?

Only the Christian Heritage Party of Canada has the prolife membership, delegates, and policies to change the course of history. CHP Canada is the political solution to end these atrocities. What is needed now is for those who really believe the right to life is inviolable to voice their opinion using their political affiliation, membership, and vote. If it really matters then show it!

We all recognize that the church is sadly divided, fragmented, and weak and that, tragically, the leadership continues to make every excuse under the sun to avoid becoming involved in the political arena. It is simply the fear of man, and now the social conservative lobby is unfortunately blindly and unknowingly choosing that same devastating course.

Like never before in our history, it’s time for all pro-lifers, lobbies, coalitions, camps, Knights, Women’s Leagues, Men’s Leagues, and prayer groups nation-wide, to join, support, and mobilize as one united force under CHP Canada. This type of movement would send an immediate shock wave across Canada’s political landscape.

The Lord commands a blessing where there is unity.

Setting our sails for tomorrow, CHP Canada builds and waits!

Most people, if they think of monetary policy at all, think that it’s too complicated for “ordinary folk” to understand. It’s not. It really all comes down to two simple, easy-to-understand facts:

1 – If we always create Canada’s money as debt, Canada will always be in debt.

The Government of Canada is supposed to create the nation’s money. But it doesn’t. Instead, Ottawa borrows its money from the big chartered banks. The result of doing this for 75 years is the stunning fact that we now owe nearly half a trillion dollars on what was originally only 37 billion dollars of public spending. All the rest is interest on interest!

Every year, we pay about $42 billion in interest on only $37 billion of debt. There’s a word for that sort of fiscal policy: stupid!

2 – We cannot ever get out of debt until the government of Canada returns to having the Bank of Canada create Canada’s money supply.

Let me repeat: The Government of Canada is supposed to create the nation’s money. But it doesn’t. Instead, the Government of Canada borrows its money from the big chartered banks. Here’s how it works:

Every year, the federal government needs more than $200 billion. So Ottawa tells the Bank of Canada to create more than $200 billion worth of Treasury Bills.

Treasury Bills (T-Bills) are government bonds: the government borrows the money it needs, when it could create that money. Do you understand that? Our federal government is borrowing the money it needs, when it could create that money itself. The government promises the banks that the taxpayers will repay the loan.

The Bank of Canada, which is owned by the people of Canada, sells those Treasury Bills to the banks at a discounted price: the banks buy $200 billion worth of T-Bills, or bonds, for $198 billion.

Where do the banks get that money? They make it out of thin air! Then they charge us interest on it. But unlike other bonds, on T-Bills, the interest is paid up front. The banks put $198 billion into the Government of Canada’s bank account, then they sell $200 billion worth of government T-bills, guaranteed by the taxpayers, on the bond market. They’ve made $2 billion just for handling cash they manufactured with only a few strokes on a computer keyboard.

The result is rich banks, and a government that is perpetually in debt.

Is that hard to understand? No! Does it make sense? No!

Of the nation’s 18 registered political parties, only two—CHP Canada and the Canadian Action Party—even mention this problem. All the rest, including both Liberals and Conservatives, are willing to continue renting Canada’s money from the big banks.

Of the nation’s 18 registered political parties, only one—CHP Canada—is pro-life, pro-family—and promotes sound, government-created money.

On her own program Stacey Dooley Investigates Dooley has bravely produced a number of documentaries including one on the child soldiers in the Democratic Republic of Congo, another on the underage sexual slavery in Cambodia, and, very recently, one that shows firsthand what is going on in her hometown of Luton and finds out why it is known as the extremist capital of Britain. Take a look at Dooley’s short report called My Hometown Fanatics— all this today in our Queen’s own peace loving country of Britain.

Do you think this is what Britain had in mind when it opened up to multiculturalism? Not! This kind of evidence (and there is much, much more) should be an immediate wakeup call to all Canadians, especially our legislators, on the nature and the intent of Muslim extremists. That it is not will ensure this becomes a factual foreshadowing of what we have to look forward to in Canada in the not so distant future, unless we elect representatives to the House of Commons who have made it a point to research where this current trend is leading us. CHP Canada has candidates who are ready to face these realities and enact laws to protect Canadians.

Britain was asleep, and had inadequately developed immigration laws. She is now dealing with people from this strident cultural group who insist that Britain (which they chant must “burn in hell”) accept the tenets of the countries they have left behind. Canada must be proactive in ensuring the needed laws are in place.

Yes, many Muslims do come to Canada with the intent to integrate into our society and to abide under our Charter of Rights and Freedoms; however their good intentions can be and will be abruptly trumped by the demands of radical clerics. The clerics own the show, and they will demand that peace loving Canadian Muslims get out in the streets and protest alongside them or “bear the consequences!” Canada needs tougher legislation and we need parliamentarians with the courage to speak and act today on every aspect of what allowed this type of atrocity in Britain to become allowable.

The Christian Heritage Party of Canada will immediately overhaul Canada’s current unsustainable policy of mass immigration, because CHP Canada recognizes that immigration is being used as a subtle and hidden form of jihad designed to undermine Canada’s Judeo-Christian culture.

CHP Canada would immediately impose a moratorium on immigration from any Muslim nation and, in the meantime, work with the Canadian Muslim community until the threat is removed.

Also, CHP Canada would deny immigration to any person who advocates an ideology known to pose a threat to Canadians and Canadian society. This act alone would inhibit radical jihadists from forcing Canadian Muslims to “obey or else.”

CHP Canada would see that Islamic bullies would be tracked, stopped, arrested, and if needed, deported back to their country of origin.

Canada truly needs to increase the resources available for screening and reduce the levels of immigration and refugee claims to levels which can be adequately screened for security and criminal risks.

To sum up, the Canadian immigration system is inadequate to secure the nation from the threats posed by terrorism. The above steps are just a beginning and our full immigration policies are available here.

In the end, new immigrants must acknowledge and respect that Canada’s cultural heritage is rooted in a Judeo-Christian worldview which is the foundation of our national identity and laws. Their decision to choose to live in Canada must be accompanied by patriotism and loyalty to Canada and our democratic values and morals. Hence, previously held traditions and legal systems such as Sharia that are incompatible with Canada’s culture and law must be abandoned.

Canada’s parliament is asleep, CHP Canada is not! It’s time to get involved with the solution. Visit www.chp.ca.

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) said that Budget 2012 was an opportunity for Prime Minister Harper’s majority government to rein in spending, and they didn’t.

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) said that Budget 2012 was an opportunity for Prime Minister Harper’s majority government to rein in spending, and they didn’t.

“Annual program spending will rise $20 billion by the end of the Harper government’s majority mandate in 2015,” said CTF Federal Director Gregory Thomas. “Annual spending will rise $86 billion since the Harper government took office in 2006.”

Thomas said, “We see a willingness in the budget to tackle some of the root causes of runaway spending, such as EI abuse, and overly generous pensions for government employees,” but that “Spending cuts announced today are a drop in the bucket,” and that “Somebody should remind Jim Flaherty that Stephen Harper promised to balance the budget by 2014-15, because this budget won’t get the job done.”

Sadly, the saga continues, doesn’t it? In 2006-7, the Christian Heritage Party warned Canadians that if we do not reduce the debt while the economy is strong, it will cause social and economic havoc when the economy takes an inevitable downturn. That forecast was accurate. Reducing the debt when times were good would have enabled us to lower taxes without cutting important services. The interest we pay on past government borrowing is like “buying oats for a dead horse.” These expenditures add no services for the taxpaying public; they only serve to enrich the financial institutions from which the government borrowed unwisely.

Remember back to the new Progressive-Conservative tax, the GST, which was supposed to be applied directly to the debt, but in fact it was merely another “slush fund” from which to buy votes. The Liberals promised to abolish it, but did not. The Harper Conservatives reduced it, while increasing spending to record levels and placing Canada, once again, alongside other countries suffocating under a burgeoning debt.

In a nutshell, most people know that deficit spending is theft. Successive governments have stolen money from our children and grandchildren to convince constituents that they are the party of choice. This 2012 federal budget continues with that trend even under our majority, so-called, “Conservative” government. So, much for those who were hoping that we might at least have a fiscally conservative government since the Conservatives failed so dramatically at being social conservatives. I’ve heard that the Conservatives had an excuse for not coming out with a real conservative budget because the Liberals and NDP would be able to say “See, we told you they had a hidden agenda.” Let’s explain that reasoning to our grandchildren, shall we?

Canada must be debt-free!

The National Debt must be treated like a national “mortgage” and to pay it off, we must balance our budget. In the same way that home owners who will not balance their budget will eventually lose their home, Canadians will lose this great country if we will not balance our budget and repay our debt.

The Christian Heritage Party commits to stop the current governmental practice of “renting” Canada’s money from the chartered banks, a practice that has a triple negative impact on our Canadian finances. We would do this by effectively using the Bank of Canada for the purpose it was created:

1) Charter banks create our money as interest-bearing debt, a negative beginning that devalues our currency, that diminishes our standard of living, and that must be paid back, along with continuously compounding interest. CHP Canada would immediately begin the process of reinstituting the Bank of Canada as the primary source for needed government funds.

2) Our government would transition to using the Bank of Canada to protect the value of our currency mainly by lending to the government new money (practically interest free), while at the same time controlling the amount of money created by the commercial banks… A double edged sword for fighting debt.

3) The statutory reserve system was abolished by Prime Minister Brian Mulroney in 1991 and would be reinstated by CHP Canada to control the amount of money artificially created by the charter banks. These reserves required the charter banks to retain a percentage of their customer’s deposits to offset the loans the bank issued. In other words, a bank could not loan out 100% of the money that its customers have deposited in their bank accounts.

CHP Canada would start this transition by implementing our Infrastructure Program. To see CHP Canada’s complete platform for economic recovery and a debt free Canada, visit chp.ca.

What foundational principles underlie the highest laws of our land? Are they still relevant today?

What foundational principles underlie the highest laws of our land? Are they still relevant today?

Could the decades-old prophetic words of radio broadcaster Paul Harvey answer that last question? In 1965, Harvey gave this prediction for the USA, but it appears today that Canada has led the charge and his unbelievable predictions have become a tragic history.

Paul Harvey said on radio 47 years ago:

If I were the devil, I would…set about however necessary to take over the United States. I’d subvert the churches first—I would begin with a campaign of whispers… “Do as you please.” “Do as you please.” To the young, I would whisper, “The Bible is a myth.” I would convince them that man created God instead of the other way around. I would confide that what is bad is good, and what is good is “square.” And the old, I would teach to pray. I would teach them to pray after me, “Our Father, which art in Washington…”

And then I’d get organized. I’d educate authors on how to make lurid literature exciting, so that anything else would appear dull and uninteresting. I’d threaten TV with dirtier movies and vice versa. I’d peddle narcotics to whom I could. I’d sell alcohol to ladies and gentlemen of distinction. I’d tranquilize the rest with pills.

If I were the devil I’d soon have families that war with themselves, churches that war with themselves and nations that war with themselves; until each in its turn was consumed. And with promises of higher ratings I’d have mesmerizing media fanning the flame. If I were the devil I would encourage schools to refine young intellects, and neglect to discipline emotions—just let those run wild, until before you knew it, you’d have to have drug sniffing dogs and metal detectors at every schoolhouse door.

Within a decade I’d have prisons overflowing, I’d have judges promoting pornography—soon I could evict God from the courthouse, and then the schoolhouse, and then from the houses of Congress. And in His own churches I would substitute psychology for religion, and deify science. I would lure priests and pastors into misusing boys and girls, and church money. If I were the devil I’d make the symbols of Easter an egg and the symbol of Christmas a bottle.

If I were the devil I’d take from those who have, and give to those who wanted until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious. What do you bet I could get whole states to promote gambling as the way to get rich? I would question against extremes and hard work, and Patriotism, and moral conduct. I would convince the young that marriage is old-fashioned, that swinging is more fun, that what you see on the TV is the way to be. And thus I could undress you in public, and I could lure you into bed with diseases for which there is no cure. In other words, if I were the devil I’d keep on doing on what he’s doing. Paul Harvey, good day.

The legendary Paul Harvey passed on in 2009 and he leaves with us not only “the rest of the story” but the very fact that the story has proven to be all too true.

Does it matter that the teaching of Canada’s Christian heritage has been removed from our schools and the mention of God from our courts and legislature? Does it matter that our churches are consumed with internal battles, families are in turmoil, pornography is running rampant, and our prisons are overflowing?

Let’s face it; in order to return this nation to the values that made Canada so great in the first place, we each have an important role to play: the people, the communities, the church, and the state.

The Christian Heritage Party of Canada not only recognizes the importance of, but will enforce the highest law of our land which states that: “Canada is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law.”

Visit www.chp.ca today and join us. The CHP holds Canada’s political solution for the things that really matter. Help us tell Canadians the rest of the story.

The Christian Heritage Party of Canada held its triennial national membership convention last week in Abbotsford, BC. This convention also marked CHP’s 25 years as Canada’s only solidly prolife federal party. Members converged from across the country to discuss policies, elect new members to the national executive and to renew their commitment to the leadership and direction of the party.

National Leader, Jim Hnatiuk of Nova Scotia, spoke on the convention theme of “Setting Our Sails for Tomorrow.” A former sailor, Mr. Hnatiuk spent 25 years in Canada’s Navy and was able to bring a personal touch to the metaphors of shipbuilding and navigation. His remarks were enthusiastically received by those in attendance who reaffirmed their support for his leadership.

The convention featured a series of plenary sessions in which members agreed on improvements to the party constitution, policies and platform statements.
Our destination, however distant it may appear, remains solidly intact, and it is to provide Christian leadership in federal legislation by electing members to parliament and forming the government of Canada. No man knows what tomorrow may bring, and the requirement for our principled policies and a quest for the honest and transparent government that CHP Canada can provide may be just over the horizon. Therefore, we must continue to build fervently today and remain focused on our destination.

We will continue to tear down every denominational wall within our party and have the common interests of all our great Christian faiths be the force and wisdom needed to grow our party infrastructure, membership, and allies. Our move onward and upward need not and will not be pragmatic but will be based solely on principled core values established as our party’s foundation twenty-five years ago. Values that our nation today is in desperate need of.

We will see to it that the marketing of our party’s message to Canadians is done with a renewed excellence, and the coordination of our internal and external communications incorporate the latest technologies.

We will not shy away from naming, facing, and resolving our challenges, regardless of the size they may appear; we’ll move forward with one mission alone and, most importantly, recognize, appreciate, and call upon the Creator of this awesome universe to guide and protect our every effort.
